This compendium of 14 papers, presented at a national seminar, jointly organized by the Centre for Asia Studies, Chennai, and the Centre for Gandhian Studies, Alphonsa College, Pala, Kerala, attempts to analyze the various dimensions of conflict resolution in South Asia.

Exploring the conflict scenario in South Asia, it discusses at length the implications of conflict resolution practice, the peace-building approach, role of Satyagraha in conflict resolution, and economic development leading to conflict resolution. Some case studies of conflict resolution from Sri Lanka, Tibet and Jammu and Kashmir make part of the discussion as well.
