An edited volume -- this work compiles a total of 24 original studies in the wider field of aquatic ecology, contributed by eminent scientists based at different Indian Universities and research Institutions. Focusing on a wide range of specific themes and topics and covering various parts and regions of the country, these studies relate to areas such as planktonology, physico-chemical environment of aquatic sources, fisheries, toxicology and fish physiology, etc. The text of each of the included papers is illustrated through graphs, diagrams, photographs and tables, etc., and enriched with copious references for further reading.
