This book is a modest study of the concept of religion and its development, complete with social, historical, political and spiritual dimensions while examining the concept of freedom as enshrined in the Indian Constitution and how it is perceived from a global perspective. The book is also aimed at examining the contemporary problems faced by our country with respect to freedom of religion while studying the necessity and relevance of freedom of religion, while judging the impact of politics on the freedom of religion and secularism in India and analyses measures that would protect and enhance these freedoms in India.
