This book seeks to examine the important issues concerning regional cooperation with the help of a comparative study of ASEAN and SAARC. Taking a comprehensive view of regional economic cooperation, it traces the formation and evolution of ASEAN and SAARC, and analyses how they have contributed to regional economic development in Southeast Asia and South Asia, respectively.
