This book attempts to address the major issues and problems faced by Manipur. Explaining the theoretical aspects and methods of political economy of India, it describes in detail the present economic condition of Manipur and the Central Government’s policy towards the state.

Further, it examines the various problems and issues concerning Manipur, including the politics of peace in the name of development, frequent protests and economic blockades, the environmental degradation, visionless youths, corruption, failure of emotional integration, and different political aspirations of the people.
