This book attempts to make an in-depth study of the political participation of tribal communities in India, with special reference to the Tadvi tribe of Khandesh region of Maharashtra. Taking a close look at the geographical status of Khandesh region, it describes in detail the socio-economic and political status, religion, language, festivals, dress and ornaments, ceremonies of Tadvi community.

Further providing the theoretical presentation of political socialization, it discusses at length the political socialism and political participation of Tadvi community, with special focus on the formation of grampanchayat and the representation of Tadvis in it.
