Synopsis Bibliographies are the basic source for any taxonomic/floristic work. Botanical Survey has already embarked on the Flora of India Project and in order to assist workers/scientists in their revisionary work many bibliographic references on taxonomy, floristics etc. are published from time to time. "Key works to the taxonomy of Flowering Plants" is a valuable publication for taxonomic literature. The present compilation 'Bibliography on the Botany of Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim and Tibet' similarly provides botanical literature of less known regions of Eastern India and will serve those who work on the botany on the area. The present volume covers only entries up to the year 1972 and the subsequent volume under preparation will cover data from 1973 to 1984, as well as on Arunachal Pradesh.
