Synopsis The Present book entitled "Earth Resources" and Environmental Issues" is the out put of a national seminar "Earth Resources, Industrial Development and Environmental Issues" held under the auspices of "Association of Geoenvironmentalists (AGE)" and Environmental Geology Lab, Department of Geology, University of Rajasthan, at Jaipur w.e.f. March 20 to 22nd, 1995. This books contains very thought provoking and practical inputs given by various scientists on the Earth Resources and Environmental Issues spectrum. This book is intended to serve as reference guide to those who are concerned with varied facets of Environmental problems associated with the development of Earth resources-student, academic, scientists and the professionals. Others who will find the book useful are administrators policymakers and environmental managers whose interest in assessment studies proper, although peripheral, are concerned with formulation and evaluation of plans for development and management of the resource. This book it is believed would help in bridging the gap between the natural resource scientists and the environmental scientists and thus its understanding would create an environment of cooperation rather than conflict in the sustainable management of the Earth resources.
