The unique geographical condition of Manipur was to a great extent responsible for development of a unique culture and tradition in Meeteis are quite isolated from the rest of the world. The Meeteis culture is a seperate culture by itself although it is confined to a pocket of humanity small in number, and settled in a part of the globe surrounded on all sides by hills and mountains.
