Synopsis The monograph presents ample sources on the life and times of Guru Hargobind. As paucity of material usually leads to the embarrassment of historians and writers, resultantly very little work has been done on the subject. The present research having been based on the acknowledged conventional sources, portrays the Sixth Guru in Sikh tradition notwithstanding thorough historical scrutiny. It meticulously reveals how Guru Hargobind revolutionalised the minds of his disciples by giving them practical doses in dharama yudha rendering unique service to his countrymen consisting of all the three main communities inhabiting the Punjab viz. the Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims. The Gurdwaras immortalising the sanctimonius memory of the life and activities of the sixth Master have also been taken up in this treatise.
