The essays by theologians reflect on different aspects of the theological-ethical discourse concerned with the transformation of society and the renewal of God’s wider creation. They cover challenges for activists in the present-day socio-political scene, the messianic vocation among Dalit Christians, community and community building in Hebrew scripture, and Gandhi’s method of social transformation. They present perspectives on development in the context of colonisation of the lifeworld—representing the organic sphere of communicative rationality. They discuss the ecological crisis keeping tribal perspectives in view and examine the Christian theology of creation.
