Land Development in Nagaland involves myriad issues that are contentious, polarizing and, at the same time, interconnected – bound together by a history of colonization. The issues in this northeastern Indian state are all the more complicated by an ongoing armed struggle for independence, countered by militarization and state repression. Putting together over twenty essays, this book presents a range of perspectives, insights, experiences and new opportunities to re-engage with questions concerning land development of land in Nagaland.
