Synopsis The presents book entitled Tribal Ethnomedicine- Problem and prospectus Under Sparks from bidisha, Vol. 8 is the annual publication of the Institute of Social Research and applied Anthropology. This book consists of selected articles presented by various scholars and academicians in the national seminar on " Emerging Issues and Strategies for Revival an Utilization of Ethnomedicinal Plants for Tribal Development" held at BIDISHA during the Nov. 2005. This scholarly views and original thinking of the contributors has been reflected in this volume by covering many issues relating to Ethnomedicinal Plants for Tribal Development.

This book has been divided into five major themes, namely (i) Concept and Practive of Ethno-medicinal Plants; (ii) Role and Status of the Tribal Medicine-men; (iii) Conservation and Revival of Ethno-medicinal Plants; (iv) Intellectual Property Rights and Development and (v) Therapeutic uses of Medicinal Plants.
